potty training (repost)

We have started  potty training our ds who just turned three. He will sit and pee pretty much on command, but he doesn't completely empty his bladder. He fines it entertaining "squirting and stopping". Also, if he is wearing a pull up, underwear, or even just pants he will wet himself. If he is completely naked he will tell us he has to go and using the potty. This obviously won't fly this coming fall with preschool. Any advice? TIA!

I would try getting him dressed backwards. ?Since he likes to potty without any clothes on, maybe try adding a piece of clothing every few days until he's completely dressed. ?Start with the undies/pull up first, then add a t-shirt, then shorts. ?Don't forget to reward him with something if he keeps the clothes on AND goes to the potty. ?He probably won't even think about anything else after all of the trips to the potty and the cool rewards. ?HTH and GL!
