Pregnant after a Loss

Any 2nd time moms?

How did you deal with your children wanting to sit on your belly and jump on you and stuff?  DD kind of already knows...she's always pretends there's a baby in mommy's belly...! haha...it's way too cute! She told me she wants a sister or a brother for her birthday...(this month) haha! Well she might be getting her wish..just later in the year!  Any advice as to what to do?

  • My dd is a little older then yours, shes 6 1/2. So she doesnt really jump on me much anymore, shes a big cuddler instead. I would just tell her that it hurts when you jump on mommys belly, and she needs to be gentle. Mine sits on my lap still, I just scoot her down so shes on my thighs and not my belly.

I'll have to tell her! DH has been trying to explain to her that you can't jump on mommy! But she's just a rough little girl sometimes..she doesn't realize it! She's still my princess though!

  • My DD is only 10 1/2 months old so she certainly has no concept of the word gentle yet. She is a VERY active baby and has definitely jumped/kicked/punched my belly many times. But the new baby is well-protected in there and seems to be just fine. I guess he/she should start getting used to it now.?
