Nothing too serious, but they are keeping her in the hospital for at least another day for monitoring. Her BP has been high and her pre-e bloodwork came back high. They are also giving her a 24-hrs magnesium IV, but I have no idea what that means.

*edited to add* The IV should help if the pre-e gives her a seizure.

Of course, she just wants to take that cute little chunkster home, so send good thoughts so she can soon!

Oh boo that sucks!  I hope she gets better quickly so she can get that cute little man home.  She's in my thoughts.

Let her know I had a friend in similar situation- high BP before (in her case, kiddos) came, she gave birth, the BP didn't go down and because she was c-section patient, they kept her the normal amount of time, but when it was time to leave the hospital, it was still high. so they sent her home with BP drugs. She stayed on those for 3 months, I believe, but is no longer taking them (kiddos are 13 months).
