1st ultrasound

Hi all,

I am seeing my RE for my first ultrasound next week, I will still be 4 weeks, almost 5 weeks.

Has anyone else had one so early? They said they will be looking for a gestational sac & yolk sac.  From what I read it seems like most people get their first ultrasound at 6 weeks and I thought nothing would be visable until then.

They should be able to see a sac, most likely not a h/b yet. 

My RE won't do u/s before 6w5d for anyone.  They figure things are more stable by then and most likely you can see a h/b.

My RE does one at 5 + weeks for sac and yolk and another one at 6 + weeks for the heartbeat.

Congrats!! Pretty sure my 1st u/s was around then. ?They only saw the gestational sac and yolk sac. ?I had another one around 6 1/2 and that is when the saw the HB!

My first one was arond 5weeks adn we saw too sacs and 2 yolk sacs no h/b...too early!

Congrats! My first one was arond 5 weeks and we were able to see a sac and yolk sac. Good luck!

My first was 5w4d (there were two tiny black circles and that was all I could make out).  He just wanted to see what was what.  My second was at 6w4d and there was a hb (and you could see the beginnings of a baby) and he released me.

That is pretty early. I had an u/s in the ER at 5w3d and they could see gest. and yolk sacs, but they had super hi-res equipment. At the RE's office two days later we could only see the gest. sac, which freaked me out.
