I saw a post a while back about the 3 day potty training method. I really think this is a good method for us my only concern is what to do since DS is still in the crib. We tried moving(at the beginning of July) to the toddler bed but it did not work out. He just wasn't ready for the toddler bed, but, I really think he is ready to start potty training. He is telling us when he goes and then asks to be changed.
I saw that this method said it worked for LO's as young as 18 months. I just can't see an 18 month old already in a toddler bed.
Anyway, how did you tackle PT if LO was still in the crib?
Re: Anyone do the 3 day PT before LO was out of crib?
I can't see it being a problem as long as you have a monitor of can hear your child telling you they have to go potty from their crib. Jack rarely gets up in the middle of the night to go potty. He'll go after he's gone to bed but I think it's more of an excuse to get out of bed. He goes so it's not an issue for us. I don't remember the program saying your child must be in a bed. I only remember the program saying your child does not need to know how to talk yet.
The program says it works for 22m. It does not recommend starting before 22m. I'm not saying you can't start earlier. It's just the minimum age they suggest. They also say it tends to be easier to train closer to the 22m than further away.
