I swear I work with this the most tactless people! So I am sitting there in the lunch room today & there is this one lady who works here who is a real loudmouth. There were several people in there, and she said " So is everyone behaving themselves" We all just kind of nodded. So she points to me & says " Well we know Melissa hasn't been, since she's knocked up!!" Everyone just kind of looked at her, and rolled their eyes. Myself included. She is so obnoxious. Not only that I HATE the term "knocked up"

Anyway, she should know we're all just bloated and babies come from cabbage patches.

That is unbelievably inappropriate and disrespectful.  With the b*tchy mood I'm in today, I'd have filed a formal complaint with HR.

I could see it being funny coming from a friend and not shouted in front of the whole lunchroom.

Coming from the obnoxious lady no one likes to begin with? Not so funny.

If it were Monday I probably would. I just kind of rolled my eyes & glared at her.

That's ok, my boss, who is reminiscent of the boss in "The Devil Wears Prada" asked me how I was feeling today.  Wow, she's trying to be nice!  So I told her, "Great, not a negative symptom so far," to which she replied, "So you just feel fat."
