I had both vinyl and cassettes but I do remember the 8 tracks and I had a few of them from when I was younger. I used to listen to Shawn Cassidy and the Carpenter's all the time.

For me I was just getting out of records and completely into cassette tapes (I took my walkman with me everywhere). In high school CDs were just coming out but they were expensive and no one had a cd player. Finally in college I got a CD player (it skipped all the time!) So I mostly grew up with cassette tapes but I did deal with all of these...including 8 tracks!
When I was a kid, my parents stuff was vinyl, then in jr. high I was buying cassettes like crazy. My first CD was the Wilson Phillips CD, whenever that came out!

I voted for cassettes, but only because I didn't read far enough ahead to see that cassettes and then CDs was a choice. Also, I always listened to music on vinyl, but I used to collect records, so that's why.
I remember buying singles of my favorite songs...I remember buying the Macarena on a single! HAHA! then late highschool, it was CD's which always skipped and were such a pain at first!
Re: Poll: s/o QOTD music when we were younger
Cassettes were still "new" and expensive at that time, so I had both records and cassettes.
This.
