NT Scan results part 1

I got a letter in the mail saying, "The preliminary result of your Sequential Screen Part 1 is reassuring. To complete the test and obtain the final result, you are scheduled to return for part 2..."

I'm assuming that it means so far so good? ?

Reassuring? I just find that to be an interesting choice of words, lol. Glad everything's good so far! Did you get to have your u/s yet? Have fun with that if you haven't- it's getting to watch baby for a good chunk of time

Not to scare you....but since you asked....

My first screen at NT scan was great.  Everything "looked good and normal".  At the sequential screen I got a very high risk result for trisomy 18 -- a 1:8 risk (should be 1:2900 for my age).  All seems to be okay.....but sometimes the false positives show up at your next b/w.

I know. Couldn't they have used a better word? We did have the u/s part the same day as the first blood draw. SO AMAZING!!! Our LO was kicking and waving. Moving all over.?

Did you get the blood work required to go with it?  That was part 2 for me.  I did it the same day though.  Then I also do the quad screening at 16 weeks.

Yes. I had the u/s with part 1 of the blood work the same day. I go back in a few weeks for the next blood test.?

Ok yeah, that is the quad screening done at 16 weeks.
