2nd Trimester

What was that???

Last night I am standing at the register at a store.  And all of a sudden I feel like something (obviously the baby) was trying to push out of the side of my uterus.  I touched the spot and it felt like a hard knot.

Could this have been a baby butt or other baby body part?? Or did I have some weird braxton hicks contraction that was localized into one hard spot?

I touched it and after a few seconds it went away.

  • I'd guess a head or a butt.  S/he probably just wanted to escape without paying lol.

  • I had that happen before where my stomach looked lopsided.  I figured Ava just changed positions (supposedely they have a lot of room in there early on).

  • I bet it was the butt. That's so neat.  I was talking to baby Emerson on the way home yesterday & had my hand on my belly & she kicked, I swear, harder than I've ever felt & it totaly felt like a knee or foot.  It was definitley different from just the regular old thumps.  I laughed & call my DH to tell him!
  • Mine does that sometimes. I figure it's head or butt...he usually doesn't do it for very long, but it is kind of weird when he does.

It could have been BH. I had something similar happen and when I described it to my doctor, she said it was probably BH. Your baby at this point is pretty small and only weighs about 5 ounces. The bones are just starting to harden, so it really isn't that strong yet.

yeah I wasn't sure if BH could be localized to one small and very specific spot.
