TTC After a Loss

D&E question

I'm freaking out cause its 8 weeks post D&E and no AF.  What are the chances scarring could be involved?  When I had my post-op appt she gave me an exam and said there was no fluid, bleeding, etc.

Sorry if this sounds silly, but I dont understand why my body cant readjust yet.  I am seeing so many girls who are getting their AFs 4-6 weeks after their procedure...where's mine?!

Re: D&E question

  • I had my D&C&E on April 16th and AF didn't show until June 22nd so 9 weeks. Hang in there hun.

  • Don't freak out.  Up to 12 weeks is considered normal.  Mine took 16 weeks and I was batsh!t crazy and freaked out by the end, but all was well.  Hope AF comes soon!

  • I think ?- and don't quote me on this, I am not a dr and have only had natural mc's - but I think maybe a D&C or D&E kinda cleans you out a little more than a natural mc. With both mine, my first AF came 3 weeks and 4 weeks after, respectively, and both times there appeared to be, umm, leftover from the mc because the bleeding look a little like the mc and a little like a regular AF. But it would make sense that more tissue gets removed when doing one of theprocedures, and ergo then takes longer to build back up and be shed again.?

?Or maybe I am talking out my arse.?
