I was just reading your responses to my previous post. ?Thanks for the info!! ?I do have high bp along with massive amounts of swelling (that doesn't go down no matter what I do). ?My bloodwork should be back on Friday so we'll find out more then. ?
When were you diagnosed with PIH? ? If it was late in your pregnancy did your doctor put you on bedrest or medication? ?Also, you said yours ended in a c-section, were you induced? ?Thanks for your help!

I am meeting with my MW tomorrow and can ask more if you want. I'm actually planning a homebirth so that I don't have to do with a repeat CS. I started having bad swelling around 36 weeks and they got pretty anxious at my appointments, double and triple checking my BP which was always normal. I went in for my 38 week, ran in late, immediately had my BP taken, it was high, so they sent me to be induced. All my other readings at the hospital were normal. When I was induced I had no progress and never had any despite cervadil and pitocin for nearly 30 hours. My body wasn't ready.
I can honestly say that all of my friends who were induced early wound up with CS, so I think your concern is real. I have a slightly different perspective, because my birth experience was so horrible that my DH and I have devoted ourselves to learning everything we can about birth.
I think your best defense against a CS is a good offense. Up your protein and start doing it
The protein should help with the edema and the sex could help with the cervix, and it might help you relax which can only help your BP. Best of luck, honey. I will post tomorrow if she tells me anything else that could help.
Yeah, would you mind asking your MW about it too? ?They took 5 readings today and wouldn't even tell me the first two numbers because they were higher and I think they didn't want me to freak out and wanted me just to relax so it would go down. ?They waited about 30 min and took it again and then had me wait another hour and took it again. ?Honestly I wasn't worried because I was sure it would go down (only it didn't).
I will definitely up the protein and the sex! (I'm sure DH will be excited about that one
