I will definately let you know how things go tomorrow. I still can't believe I am going thru this testing. I have two, beautiful healthy daughters. My oldest will be turning 8 next week and my youngest just turned 2 in April. I have a feeling that my prolactin starting elevating shortly after the birth of my youngest. My cycles started getting longer. Before her birth I had a 28 day cycle. I hate to diagnose this but I do believe that my elevated prolactin was the cause of both of my miscarriages. Miscarriage #1 was in May of 08 at 15 weeks. Miscarriage #2 was almost 8 weeks ago at almost 11 weeks. From what I've read, elevated prolactin plays a part in progesterone levels. I may very well need to be on progesterone the next time around. Are you on progesterone?
I too think it has to do with previous pregnancy. Mine ended in m/c but my cycles were regular before that happened and after getting tested I found out about having high prolactin levels and yes also low progesterone issue with both m/c's. My theory, not based on anything, is that once the hcg was in my system it literally "grew" my tumor and elevated my prolactin level. I'm a bit scared that another pregnancy will make it grow bigger considering I didn't have it before ever being pregnant. Who knows?
I am on progesterone supplements actually. The Dr has me taking it right after O to ensure it stays at a decent level whenever I do get knocked up. Congrats on having 2 healthy girls, are you hoping for a boy this time? I soooo wish to have one of each!!
