Just killed a scorpion - ugh...

Yup, just moved to a new house and my mom and I just killed a scorpion in the garage.  I'm going to be so paranoid that there is one in the baby's crib or around the baby now.  great.

seasoul, I saw your post the other day....I didn't respond since that was the day that I was moving I think (i was surfing from my phone and it is hard to reply).  Do earwigs bite?  I see them sometimes and never knew if they did...

I would freak out too if I saw one of those around my LO.  I don't like those things.

OMG that is so scary! I've only ever seen one at the zoo and they freak me out! Is there anything you can do to keep them away (i.e. those electronic mouse repeller things)?

I live in Texas and they are pretty common.  I just moved to a new house so hopefully as the community builds out, we will have less.  I really hate those.  I grew up in Texas but never have been stung and never saw one at my old house as I lived closer into the city.  boo....DH did run over a snake in our old house with the lawn mower- yeah we had snakes and not garden snakes in our neighborhood.  Copperheads or rattle snakes.  Probably have those out here too....

That's because my DH sprayed around the house and the garage before we moved in. 

Oh, I am not THAT brave - my mom helped me - he was medium-sized.  I was going to put the baby's stroller out in the garage, but after I saw that decided against that.

OH!  I hate scorpions!  We have them out where we live too and as soon as I saw that first one, I was on the phone calling pest control companies to come out and do quarterly services.  The first one we saw, my cat was batting at it and I got up to see what it was and I screamed.  I had never seen one before.  I hope you never see another one again!  YUCK!

We live in the Hill Country on acreage and we have them all over. It got really bad last month and Monte was killing upwards of 5 a night on the porch and about 2 a day in the house. That's when I realized we were way overdue for having the house exterminated!
