Success after IF

What's the Deal w/ Cornell?

I posted this on TTTC but someone suggested that I post here as well since there are many Cornell grads here.

I see so many posts about Cornell and how it's got such a fantastic reputation, etc.  I checked out their stats on SART and they're good - but they're pretty similar to many other clinics in NYC.  Does Cornell get such rave reviews b/c of the sheer number of cycles of IVF it does?

I go to Continuum Reproductive Center at Roosevelt Hospital on 59th and have been tempted to switch to Cornell b/c it gets such rave reviews...but I'm just wondering what the full story is.

Re: What's the Deal w/ Cornell?

  • I haven't gone to Cornell, but we did look into going there.  From what I know, what makes them so special is that they cycle women who other clinics would not cycle because of their age or FSH.  So the fact that they can keep their stats at par with other clinics and take on cases with low chances of success is what makes them so special.

  • Exactly what PP said. Plus they are willing to do protocals that other offices won't even try. They are a research facility so new protocals, etc are always being explored. GL!
