I have a plan!!!!!

It only took me 3 OBs and about 4 months to get one, but I feel like I may finally have a shot.  Went to a new OB today (prepared with my cycle data including the last 109 day cycle) and results from my bloodwork and dx with PCOS.  He was super, super nice...and very aggressive.  Told me I could pretty much choose how aggressive I want to be.  So here's what we decided:

I'm going to start taking 500mg Metaform today for this cycle.  Since I'm already CD7 today, I'm too late for Clomid.  If no AF on CD35, take pg test and if negative take Proveria.  Then Up the metaform to the recommended 1000mg.  And then take the Clomid that cycle.  Do bloodwork on days 12, 14, 16 to make sure Clomid is working (I can ask for u/s if I want to later).  If Clomid isn't making me ovulate, then up the dose....otherwise, use it for 6 cycles before considering other options (he was talking about a different fertility drug that wasn't approved yet that a local RE uses with a high success rate or IUI).  Anyways, I love the new doctor and I love that I finally have a plan!!!!!

    YAY for a plan!!  I'm so glad you found an OB who is willing to work with you and be aggressive!  Sounds like we're going to be on Clomid at the same time, too!  I'm supposed to start Prometrium on Sept 2nd to bring on AF, so I anticipate CD1 being around Sept. 10th-ish, then CLOMID!!  I'm so excited!  GL, I hope you get your BFP very very soon!!!
