I know they make sheets for the bottom part of the pack n' play, is there anything else I will need? Are there pads or sheets or anything for the changer area and do I need some kind of mattress pad for the bottom part of the pack n' play? We plan on using it as a bassinet in our room for a few months and I want to make sure we're ready.
Re: Can someone explain the pack n' play sheets, etc?
You do not need any extra pads or mattress pads for the bottom part of the bassinet, but the plastic on the changer can get cold, so if you wanted to you could use washable lap pads to lay on there so as not to startle baby with the cold.?

I don't know what all you "need" but we got a couple sheets just because the mattress thing on it isn't very soft. But I don't think a mattress pad is necessary. I found a little changing pad thing that is the same size of the top changing area (came in a pack of 2) and super soft. I think we'll use that just because it's so much softer than the plastic that is on there.
I bought a package of 2 pads especially made for the pack and play changer, they were sold right where the PnP sheets were.
I just discovered a changer area cover the other day while at BRU. I'm going to wait until later this week to buy one because I'll have a 15% off coupon,
I didn't think of the waterproof pad underneath because I guess I thought the "mattress" itself is waterproof...have to look into that one.
