did anyone continue estrace after BFP?

Hi there-

     My RE had me start Estrace (in addition to Prometrium) vaginally after I triggered because my lining was still on the thin side.  Well, they both must have done the trick because I'm over 5 weeks pregnant:)  The nurse told me to continue with both until my first u/s next week.  I know it is common to continue the Prometrium until the end of the first trimester, but what about the Estrace?  How long is it normal to continue with Estrace?  It's strange because the drug says do not take if you're pregnant which is a little unsettling...

Yes, I did.  I lowered the dosage around 7 wks, I think and stopped all together at 9w2d (about a week before I stopped the prometrium).

I did DE's and so my body wasn't producing all the hormones with growing eggs - so my RE was very clear that it was super important to continue on all the same meds for awhile, until my body could/would take over.

This pregnancy was a result of a FET, so yes, I was on estrace and took it until about 10 weeks.  I had no natural increase in estrogen production (no corpus luteum, no ovulation etc), so I needed it. 

I'm guessing they'll check your levels at your next appointment and decide whether to continue you on it.

I was on it until about 8 weeks.  It was a frozen transfer though.  Didn't use it on my fresh cycle.

I just got my BFP from a fresh cycle and I am still on Estrace (orally) and Endometrin.  They decreased my endometrin to twice a day (from 3 times ad day) after my first beta, but I'm still doing the same dose of estrace.  I was told I would be on it until around 10 weeks.

I took it for my FET and was on it until 10 weeks when I started weaning off. I was totally off by 12 weeks. I was worried about the label as well but my RE assured me that it was fine and my siggy is proof that it was.

Same except I stopped my estrace early @ about 5 weeks because I was in the hospital and on bed rest they said it could cause clots. But I think it is normal to be on after an IVF cycle until week 10. GL!?

I wasn't put on estrace until I got my bfp.  Then I was on it until 8 weeks.  I know the bottle says not to use it if you are pg, but they must know what they are doing.

I had the same question about a month ago.  I'm still on estrace until 9 weeks.  H&H 9 mos!

I took till 12 weeks.  No known problems with lining either.  Not sure why I took it so long or at all but I took whatever they said.
