    Do what I say.

Yes sir!  What can I do for you tonight?

I've been missing this place.  I've been mia for a couple of days.  How have you been doing?  How's your sisters visit going so far?

  • Yes sir, lol.  Victorias visit is going good.  She was supposed to work m-f 9-5 for the two weeks at the recruiters office.  Instead she's working nights this week at the fair (they have a booth), and she gets all next week off completely.  So its just like not having her here.  This weekend we're going camping though.

    How have you been?

  • You were planning to go to the fair anyway, right?  Are you going to go visit her?

Camping sounds like fun.  DH and I just agreed to go camping with some friends on two seperate weekends in September.  DH and I have never gone camping together... in fact, I haven't been since I was about 12, and even then I think it was only once.  Should  be interesting.

Things have been going well here...  but super busy.  I got a promotion at work on Friday!  I'm going to be the lead of my group (13 people), which means a lot of new work, but also means that I get to stick to first shift from now on (whoo hoo!)

  • You got a promotion?

Does this mean less bumping at work?

We went to the fair last night.  And we're picking her up each night.  We both drive sticks, and she cant- otherwise I might lend her a car.  But maybe not, her driving scares me.

Have fun camping!  I only go for the smores.  You want the best camping tip ever given to me?  Take purell and non-scented baby wipes.

  • I'm not 100% clear on how this promotion might impact my at work bump time... I'm a little nervous about that Indifferent  Thought I'm sure I'll be able to make adjustments!

Help from a veteran camper is required... DH keeps "complaining" about what we are going to do all weekend.  Personally, I  think he's a little scared about leaving his ps3 for the entire weekend.  What do you guys normally do?

  • Well first, pick out your campsite, and set up your tents and unpack.  Gather fire wood to start a fire for later.  Well, we have to gather fire wood from the woods, but you guys probably arent going that rural, they'll have some for sale.  Thats atleast an hour of time killed.

Your going with people right?  We usually just hang out around the fire and eat the whole time.  While chatting, and maybe playing cards.  This weekend we'll be drinking (I wont be) but I would advise against that if you are using porta-potties.  Alcohol makes more trips to the bathroom, and thats no fun.

Once we went kite flying, but that requires an open field.....  hmm.  Camping really isnt as exciting as a ps3, im sorry.

That's pretty much what I told Cole... I don't think he's convinced.  Oh well... I told him he can drink all weekend long, which seemed to satisfy him for a bit.  I won't be drinking either though... can't drink on the Met.  The way this is going, it's going to be years before I can drink again... eek!

Alright - I'm going to go watch TV and get to bed.  Talk to you later!

  • nighty night!
