TTC After a Loss

Warning: TMI - freaked out by AF

My first AF came 4 weeks after my last m/c.  Since then, AF has been perfectly regular with the timings and cycles.  I have always been a heavy bleeder even prior to my m/c's.  I am freaked out by how heavy AF has been since my m/c, like 3-4 times as much as I used to be.  I wear super+ tampon and full pad together and have to change every hour.  It makes me feel like my AF is wiping me out clean each month Sad

While it was not funny in my case but it may make some of you ladies laugh.... I had a little "accident" at work and I had to carry my laptop bag to "cover" to head on home.  I felt like I was 12 years old.

Sigh?..  I want these AF to stop!

Re: Warning: TMI - freaked out by AF

  • Has your doc checked you for endo or something like that that would make AF so heavy?

  • That must have been awful! I am so sorry!

Have you talked to your doc about the heavy periods? Maybe there is a reason why they have been so bad. That seems really heavy to me.

  • My AF has always been like that. I was diagnosed with Endo when I was 18 and was told that was the cause of my heavy heavy periods. I hear ya on wearing tampons+a pad. It makes me feel like a stuffed pig ready to be cooked.
  • I better make an appointment.  I admit I did chalked it up from having m/c and did not think of other factors.
  • I've had some pretty bad AF's since my d&c. My dh jokes that the first day is a "stay home" day. Luckily mine only last 3 days and I'm a stay-at-home mom, but I know what you mean~I've had to change clothes a few times. tmi---i, know
  • I would make an appt with your doc.  Hopefully there isn't anything serious, but it's worth mentioning.  AF is alot heavier on the first day of AF for me post m/c, but the total seems like less.  Crazy how our bodies react to everything...
