Success after IF

****Beasley, trinny ..nicolita****

Hi ladies!!

Not sure if I've been missing the check-in or we have all just been very busy.

I was off for a week and loved it! B got her 6month shots and that was no fun for a few days...she had a fever..booo. Then it was off boating with some friends and the beach..first time for both and it went great!!

Pedi said she is doing great. She is will not stay on her tummy for not even a second but doesn't roll much from back to tummy yet. She can sit unassited for a little bit and is babbling away..stuff like dada, papa, baba..she is trying her s's now too.. some other cute stuff too but can't think of it...

How is everyone else doing?

  • Hey! I'm never on anymore-- just too busy at work and I feel guilty, but I have started taking more breaks recently, so I'll try to get better about this checkin.

Glad to hear Bella is doing so well!  We'll have that appt in a few weeks.  I hate the shots, mostly b/c of the fever.  Fortunately, my new job lets me work from home, so I could stay with P if she can't go to daycare and just work in the evening when DH gets home.

P is sitting up pretty regularly now, though still falls over sometimes.  She rolls all over and even tries to crawl sometimes!  We're going to have to babyproof sooner than we thought.  We've been hearing a lot of mamamamama and dadadadadada and bababababa, but I don't think she really understands anything yet.  She's very interested in the dogs too!  We still haven't started solids-- I am really trying to EBF until 6m and I think I'll make it.  Tonight we took our first bath together in the bathtub, since she is sitting up so well-- very fun for both of us!

What are you all doing about winter clothes?  She's pretty much outgrowing her 6m stuff now, so I'm thinking I should buy 12-18m instead of 6-12m for winter, just to last her through the spring?  But it just doesn't seem like she should be that big yet?!  They really do grow so fast!

  • Hi ladies! Good to hear from you both. James *just* started babbling last night, bababababa and wawawawa, with the occasional "ma." No "da's" at all yet. I was so happy to hear that babbling! He *can* sit up on his own for a few seconds, but doesn't really like to, so I have to distract him with toys so he doesn't really realize he's doing it! He rolls both ways and still loves sticking his feet in his mouth. I swear he can get half his foot in there!

We're doing solids once a day-- rice cereal plus a new veggie or fruit each week. So far we've done sweet potatoes, squash and banana. Squash is his favorite!

Our 6 mo appt got pushed back to August 20th-- can't wait to see how long he is and how much he really weighs, but I'm not looking forward to those shots.

As far as the winter clothes, Trinny, I've mostly been buying "12 month" stuff (a lot of Carter's and theirs is labeled 9, 12, etc. as opposed to 9-12, etc. Not really sure what that means, but I guess we'll see how it goes and buy more if we need to.) James is so long and skinny I hope things are going to fit right. His 6 month pants are starting to look short but a lot of them are still big around the waist.
