All of a sudden I feel like there's not enough time...

Before this I felt like we had plenty of time to think of names, and now I feel like "holy crap if we don't think of some quick our baby won't have a name!!"

I know that 18 weeks is a good amount of time, but it just sounds so short now, I've already done 18 weeks and then some... my goal for tonight is to at least start a list.

anyone else around 21-22 weeks+ without names, I'd like to know I'm not alone.

I'm only 17 weeks but DH and I haven't even discussed it.  We really haven't discussed much when it has to do with LO.  How long I will be out of work, day care, names, baptism, nursery furniture...  I feel really behind.

I understand! I feel me and H def. need to start seriously talking names but he is in no hurry.  As you can see in my name poll, we have just a starter list.  Middle names for the girls are so up in the air and we don't have middle names for boys at all yet.

And this is just our starter list.  We have not seriously discussed them.  Just talked about it enough that these names should be on the list.

I'm about a week behind you, and we have no name either!  We have a middle name because it is a family thing on DH's side, but we have no idea on a first name.  Sometimes I feel like we have to hurry up and pick one and then on the other hand I am glad we don't have one picked so we don't have to hear comments on it (which is why I think we might keep the name, when we finally decide, a surprise).  So, long reply to say, you're not alone

We have a name, but I know lots of couples who don't know the name when they go into labor or after the baby is born.  My mom chose 2 names she liked, then my dad chose which name we'd get after he saw us for the first time.   My SIL didn't even have a name when they left the hospital (they had to go back 2 days later and do the birth certificate).  That was 25 years ago, but I'm just saying that you're all good. 

Just curious...What kind of names do you like?  Ppl love to suggest names on here.

What's the rush with names?  DH and I have a list but haven't sat down to really pick one and prob won't until about week 36.  We aren't telling anyone the name so it doesn't really matter if it doesn't get picked until we actually have her.  The rest of it- sure, we ordered bedding and registered and whatnot but I don't feel rushed with names.

I'm 23w with no name. And we found out the sex at 19w, so we've had an entire month to narrow down our choices. I feel like in the past few days we've come up with some good names we BOTH like, but we still haven't decided on anything.

The way I see it, we still have a few months....and if we're still talking names when I'm in labor, so be it. I want it to be a good one

We have one girl permissibility that we have had before we ever thought about kids. and no boys names!! Our doc. doesnt do the big U/S until 24 weeks so we agreed not to talk names until then. Our 5 min. gender u/s at 20 weeks didn't work out for us so were still waiting to find out what LO is before we talk names.

I know me and im going to hear a name I cant live without rather then looking through books for hours on end anyway.

a lady over on 3rd tri is having a C-section tomorrow... and still no name. You still have some time.

We are waiting till after the gender scan (20 weeks) to even think about names.

I'm 23 weeks and we have a middle name picked, but still no first names. DH doesn't like my suggestions so it's back to the drawing board.

You have plenty of time. I hear that sometimes the name just comes to you...so you never know.

DH and I decided over the weekend... I know how you feel though, because for a while I felt that same urgency even though my rational mind knew I had enough time, and there are always those people who don't name their kids until they see them, too!

we also have no names picked out. Well, I have tons of girl names that I LOVe but Dh doesnt like any of them. With DS we didnt agree on a name until he was 2 days old. DD had a name right after we got the results of my amnio(around 21 weeks). This poor baby isnt going to have any name bc DH will not agree with me on anything.,and i will be 26 weeks friday!
