I love Camden for a girl. I would have spelled it Camdyn though just for a little feminization. My name is Randi so I know all about boy names for girls. I like the uniqueness of them even though they are gaining in popularity. GL
I don't think that sounds like a boys name. I would name her Camden. Thats the name of a town here, if you ever get the chance to visit it's really pretty.
I think Camden would be a really pretty name. If you wanted to "girl it up" you could always change the spelling to make it look more girly... Camdin / Camdyn / Kamden / Kamdyn / Kamdin ... I don't know, just a thought
I like boys names for girls. I wanted Ryan for our little girl but we are using it as a middle name.
The only problem is if you live in NJ .... because then people will think of the city of Camden or if your near Baltimore. But then again my beice is named Shea... after Shea Stadium
camden is not a boys' name to me. I think it's cute for a girl...Cami? I do not like Camdyn, Kamdin, etc. Spell it like it's meant to be!
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

Camden is more girl than boy, to me. Cameron can go either way, in my opinion. I like the "regular" spellings more than ys. Cameron is actually in my top 5 list for our girl, but DH uses the "it's a boy name" and isn't so keen on it in general. Camden is cute too, but I could never name my kid Camden, living in NJ. It is one of the worst cities in the country, and our state.

Re: Hard time with girl name...
I like the name Camden for a girl!?
But, I am partial to Camryn as that is what we are naming our daughter. ?

I would've never known it was a boy name except that you mentioned it was. I've seen a few bloggers with daughters with the name Camden.
I like the spelling with the "y" - Camdyn!
Wow! That helps. I really thought I would get a different response.?
DH likes the Camdyn spelling to make it more girly.
?Thanks again for your input.??

I agree with changing up the spelling so it isn't assumed to be male...
My pre-k class last year had a "Camryn" and i thought it was a cute girl name.. fit her well...
I agree with "camdyn" or maybe "camdin" etc... i like the Y's
and you can always call her "cammy" thats what the little girl went by alot in my class
