I was in the ER this weekend. As of right now, they "think" it is a gallbladder problem. I was monitored at the ER. Hearbeat was fine, no contractions
Anyway - I had to follow up with my OB today. Well, I have been having contractions since 19 weeks. The OB knows about this and I have been given the instructions of when to call (increased freq, duration, etc)
So, since I was monitored in the ER, I was put on the monitors today.
Well, in the short time that I was there. I had 2 small contractions. For me, it was the same type of contractions that I have been having for 13 weeks now. But, she wanted to check me just in case.
She checks me and I am a little more than 1cm. I was checked a few weeks ago and I was nothing. So, this is new.
She will do a fFN test tomorrow to check for signs of pre-term labor.
So, I am just wondering - who has had this test done? I know that a negative results says so much more than a positive one. What are your experiences?
Re: Anyone have a fFN test done???
I had a fFN test done on Saturday due to contractions, it was positive which means I have a higher chance of preterm labor but other than that they can't tell me when I'll go into labor or when I may start having regular contractions. A negative result means no preterm labor....I hope that helps, certainly was a bit vague for me, so here I sit relaxing and taking it easy. Good Luck!
I got one done today-not sure of the results yet, but I am hoping for a negative. ?
I am 1cm dilated and my cervix is a little soft...oh and when they hooked me up to the monitor I was having contractions 15 mins apart and couldn't feel them at all....yeah for me.?
Good luck on your test.?
