We had new neighbors move in across the street about 6 weeks ago. We went over when they were moving in, it was a couple around our age, and we suggested we should all grill out or have drinks or something sometime. Well, I've been a bad neighbor and haven't asked them yet...we've waved at them in passing, yelled hey across the street, etc. but haven't had much interaction since. Well, DH, DS and I were just outside, and the husband came out with the dog. We ended up meeting in the middle of the street and talking for about 15 minutes (we live on a cul-de-sac, so we can weren't going to get run over, lol). Mainly just shooting the breeze, but then he started asking about DS. He told us they go on Monday for bloodwork to see if his wife is pg. They're on their 3rd round of fertility treatments (don't know to what extent, but they're going to a fertility clinic, she's having to give herself injections, etc). I didn't really know what to say...I told them that we would be thinking about them on Monday, and couldn't wait to hear good news. Now, not only do I feel bad for marching my cute baby over there when they were moving (not that I knew any different, but you know), but I also really hope she's pregnant! Not only for their sake, but selfishly, I would love to have another little child on our street!! The only other kids on our street are late elementary aged. Goodness, I'll have to be sending good vibes their way! If she is pregnant, would it be awkward if I took her a little searcy whenever they tell us???

Re: Oh wow...Long rambling...
Took her a little what?
Anyways, hope she is, it would be nice to have kids the same age.
Haha, a searcy...or sursee...a little gift to let someone know you're thinking of them.
