Monitors

What one did you use?

I really like the idea of the angel care monitors but since you need one for each baby, that would be a lot of $$.  I am not sure of the video monitors either because our nursery is small and I don't think I could put it in a place to monitor all 3 babies at once.  TIA!

Re: Monitors

  • I use the Graco iVibe... I like it, it reaches a long ways away so I can take the dog out and can hear if I need to hurry him up and get back inside quickly if one starts crying.

  • we just use a basic sound only monitor, and it works perfectly fine. we can hear everything, and it lights up when sounds are being made, if the volume is down. it's fisher price or something.

i would have loved a video monitor or something, but with three babies, it was just too complicated to think about. :)

This sounds like the one we use.  Sounds and Lights or something like that.  I've never felt the need for the Angelcare or a video monitor.

  • Thanks!  I think I'm going with one with just sound.  The Angel Care ones will have too many monitors to carry around (it seems) because there is one monitor for each child.  Like Pea-Kay said, just too complicated to think about.  Plus spending $300-$420 on monitors seems over the top to me.
  • I have the summer infant handheld video monitor....and i wish I had just gotten a basic sound one. I thought I was going to get the second camera too, but as time went on, I realized I barely even use the video function anyway. And the range isn't really that good either....our house is pretty big, so once I go outside, I'm out of range. Oh...and if I switch to the other channel, I can see and hear someone else's baby...clear as day =/
