nbr: Do you ever order off the kids menu?

We don't eat out often, but when we do I usually order off the kids menu. 

Especially fast food - the KFC kid meal comes with more food than a regular combo meal, and it's half the price.  Popcorn chicken, mashed potatoes, a biscuit & drink for $3.99.  And it comes with Teddy Grahams!

All the time! DQ, Culvers, Arby's, Subway - their kids meals are the right amount of food - otherwise i end up throwing stuff away.

yes I do when I am out to eat and not that hungry, or if nothing looks good.

I order happy meals most of the time when I go to McD's. A cheeseburger and small fries is plenty of food, especially if I add in an apple or something else with it. I have no self- control and if I get a regular meal, I'll eat the whole thing of fries, plus the burger, and then I feel like crap.

I do quite often. Especially at Panera Bread...their grilled cheese sandwich is only on the kids menu and I love it!

They usually have much better portions, and if I'm not full after eating a kids meal, I don't feel so guilty about indulging in a little dessert! ?

I do this almost always when I eat fast food.  I love junk, but it's so unhealthy, so I justify it by only getting a kid's portion.

I always order off the kids menu...mostly though its because I can't eat a lot.

Yup! The cheeseburger meal on the chili's menu is the perfect size because I normally only eat half of their regular burger. Don't get me wrong, I can eat the whole thing, but I usually feel SUPER guilty afterwards. I feel better about kids portions.

Yes... usually because I can't eat an adult size portion and dont' want leftovers or don't have a way to take them home. Lately, I order off the kids menu at Sonny's BBQ (and they still give me a grown up sized sweet tea!)

Heck yes. We just got back from Hawaii and stayed at the Fairmont where just about every meal was $50 pp. Since pregnancy has totally smushed my stomach and diminished my appetite, the kids menu at the hotel was perfect portions for me! And way cheaper!!!

I order off the kids menu all the time - especially now, since being pregnant has made it hard to eat much in one go. Some non-fast-food restaurants get all snooty about it.
