so frustrated-IUI#2 impending failure

This is my 2nd medicated cycle and the 2nd failed IUI.  Both times I have started my period on 8dpiui. This happened on my last cycle which was my break cycle. That makes 3 cycles with an 8 day LP and I am so frustrated.  I have a physical and not a hormonal IF problem and had perfect charts and cycles pre-IUI treatment.  I know there are no garuntees in this whole process but with 2 back to back cycles with an 8 day LP I am frustrated that there was no adjusting this cycle to try to counter act the short LP.

I am also frustrated that this is #2 of 3 IUI dh and I agreed to try before giving up.  I am 39 and have a DD and we are not insured for IUI drugs or anything related to IVF so that is off the table.  With my DX and age I am not willing to throw good money after bad.  I feel like my time and money was wasted this cycle.

This is mostly a vent but info and ideas to talk to the DR about would be greatly appreciated.  I am not cycling up again until he fixes this problem. I tried to talk to him about B6 and he said he didnt want me taking anything but my pre-natal. I am preparing myself for a referral out to a new Dr if he is not on board for trying something else.

No and I asked him about them when I started this cycle. He said I didnt need them. I followed his advise and he is not the kind of Dr that gives out tons of info. If you dont know to ask he isnt going to tell.  He is the best in my area and he has the ego to match. It is starting to not work for me...

blech. I hate drs w/egos. If you're able to get a 2nd opinion it certainly couldn't hurt. good luck!!

Can I ask what med you are taking?  Like you, I have one healthy tube and that makes IUI's all the more stressful, I think!  My hormone levels all came back good too, but when I'm on Femara, my LP is short.  Mine is looking like 12 days this time and my doc is also one that doesn't explain just wants me to move on to injectables and he thinks the problem will be solved!  I just wanted to let you know I feel your pain!!

I am on Leupron and I stim with Follistim and trigger with Ovidrille.  I had PERFECT cycles before all this crap and I actually wanted to use my natural O and IUI. My LP was 12-13 days pre-iui.  It just adds to the frustration.

Dr convinced me that with one tube and ovary that going straight to injectables was a good thing. Im not saying that I think I am on the wrong course, just that I need some fine tuning and with only the $$ for  1-2 more IUIs it is even more stressful.

I am hoping this is just spotting and that I have a higher temps and less spotting in the morning and this cycle is not a total bust.  I know we all dread the 2ww but I cant seem to make it past the 1ww. I would LOVE a 2ww at this point!
