I don't wanna sound nosey or rude but I was just wondering how you & your DH came to the agreement of $2K a month? The reason I ask is because DH pays his son's mother almost $600 a month & I think that's alot but I guess it all depends on how much the non custodial parent makes...
Re: **achase123**
Not at all. We came to the agreement because that is what he paid me before we split up (we have always had separate accounts) and I figured I would have even more bills especially once LO is in daycare. It may actually be a little high because we separated most of the bills. He also owes me $5,600 from a motorcycle that his friend bought from him. The friend paid him back but he never paid me back so the balance is on my credit card. He is always bragging about how much money he has and recently told me and also one of my friends that he was going to make
$200K around July 31st. So I figured $2K/mo is small potatoes to him!
Ditto to this. If DH had to pay more than $600 a month, I'd have met him while he was living in a cardboard box at the Greyhound station downtown.
Wow, holy crap! Definitely small potatoes to him!
Have you tried looking your state's CS calculator up online? You never know, you might be entitled to more? Not to sound greedy, lol ... but it's gonna be hard for you to figure out how your expenses might change once LO is here.
Also, have you figured out who is going to carry LO on health insurance?
Wow, I will have to look into the calculator. I didn't know there was such a thing. I will probably carry LO on my health insurance. DH is self employed.
