36 wks and I get strep throat...fun fun!

Now I have a reason to eat ice cream, popsicles and drink slurpee's. I went to my OB this morning thinking I had the flu...fever, earache, sore throat, aches, and just generally feeling like crap. So he gave me a strep test and the GBS test. He joked that he doesn't usually have to do them from both ends...hardy har har! Turns out I have strep and not the flu. So I'm veggin', drinking hot tea, and not going back to work till Wednesday! DH went to the store and got me ice cream, soup, popsicles, and the biggest slurpee I've ever seen in my life.

I get strep throat just about every year. Sorry you're having to deal with it, but yum....now I want a Slurpee.

Wow, I'm jealous! Not of the strep, of course, but of the time off and the slurpee. I'm diabetic and can't have that.

I do not envy you. I usually get strep about 3-4 times a year (basically, if I'm even in the same building as someone with strep, I'll get it) and I've only gotten it once this whole pregnancy. Salty soup is my trick!
