Let everyone know you care

This is kind of a vent and just to get my feelings out.  Let everyone you care about know it.  You never know how they are truly feeling inside.

My step-son who is 17 tried to kill himself in the middle of the night.  He took over 100 different sleeping pills.  I kept him talking on facebook while his mother and 911 were contacted so he wouldn't fall asleep.  Unfortunately he doesn't live with us so I couldn't just take him.  Faster for 911 and his mom.  He is know in the hospital and will hopefully get the help he needs.  I just don't want anyone to have to go through this.  My girls (who are 6 & 8) are freaking out about their brother and shouldn't have to think about it.  We almost lost him about 5 years ago to being a pedestrian hit by a car going 40 + mph and now this.  Well thank you for reading.

Hopefully he will get the help he needs and will realize that he has people who love him and care about him.

That's terrible.  I've had quite a few friends attempt suicide and a couple of them succeeded, but I can't imagine having it happen to a child.  Hopefully he'll be able to get whatever help he needs.

I hope everything works out for him and he does get the help he needs. Thank God that you were there to keep him talking and to help out in that way.
