The baby's room is next to ours. Two steps away. It would be a waste of money for us to get a bassinet. Plus we have a futon in the nursery, so I can lay down there if needed. Pack and Play will be downstairs tho for naps when I don't feel like trudging upstairs over and over!

I selected PNP but not sure at this point. With my son we started out with the PNP but our bedroom was on the first floor and his was on the 2nd. It was just easier that way. We are in a different house and her room will be right across the hall BUT my son's is right next to hers.... So I'm not sure if her crying will wake him up. Our room has space to put the PNP in it so we might do that just to make night feedings easier. Especially if BFing works for me this time around.
We'll be using our pack'n'play for this one because DS will be in his crib for a few months before we transition him to a bed. We'd like to transition him before the baby is born but we just don't feel he'll be ready yet. So pack'n'play (with bassinet feature) for the first while.
We're getting a co-sleeper for next to the bed (so I guess I could have said bassinet or pnp instead of other) and transitioning to the crib around 3-4 months. It will make everything a lot easier with late-night feedings, it's good for baby to be in the same room, etc. and the co-sleeper is supposed to be good if you have a c-section, which is a possibility as well.

The baby's room is right next to ours but I will be breast feeding, so I want to be able to have the baby in our room for a while. I registered for a pnp with a bassinet and will keep that in our bedroom until I am ready to put LO in the crib at night.
Im not sure, i go back and forth on this. We have a small apartment so the crib isn't far from our room. But my sister has a bassinet that she will let us use if we want it. Cant decide.

I bought an Arm's Reach co-sleeper used that we will be using for the first few months. Since DS and DC#2 will be sharing a bedroom, we really can't move DC#2 into the crib until they are STTN or close to it- but I also couldn't justify spending a lot of money on something that we wouldn't use for very long. Thank goodness for Craigslist!

Ditto.
I chose "pack & play" though I'm really hoping to buy a cosleeper - same basic idea.
Our bedroom is on another floor than the baby's room.
