I am going to freeze homemade tomato sauce and maybe a white clam sauce to make pasta. Just trying to think what other meals will freeze well. Any suggestions/recipes?
I love to freeze things and have already been thinking about this (even though it's months away).
I'm planning to freeze chilli, lasagna, casseroles, tomato sauce, cooked chicken breasts and some cookies/treats. I also plan to have frozen veggies on hand as well as a few grab and go things (like soups and stews) so that we can eat when we are hungry.
I've just been freezing the extra as I make dinner. IE: made meatloaf, ate dinner, packaged one lunch meal each, and froze the rest of the meatloaf. Made cookies, cooked 1 dozen, froze the rest of the batter, made pizza, froze the pizza sauce I didn't use.
Plus we've been buying lots of peaches and veggies from the farmer's market and blanching and freezing those, but we would do that regardless.
I have a lot of close by friends and family that I'm sure will be dropping by with casseroles, etc. the first month or so...I can get us through the rest.
Um, yeah. The Bump be too crazy for pics of my kid.

Ooooh, chili is another great suggestion. Thanks!
I agree!!! Chili is a great idea!!! When are you all starting to freeze stuff? Is 35 weeks to early?!
I made chili for dinner last night ate some and froze the rest. That was the first meal that I froze (at 38 weeks). I am thinking about freezing some banana bread, not sure what else.
Re: What meals are you planning to freeze?
Some homemade chicken pot pie (put together but not fully cooked) since they are easy to just throw in the oven.
