What is the chance the baby can flip back after being head down?

DD has been confirmed head down at my past two appointments.  My doc told me today that he wanted to check again next time because at this point he said that it's hard to tell the diff. between the butt and the head.  If she was head down already, won't she stay that way??  He's got me worried now!

At this point they should be very slim... the baby doesn't have that much space left.

It's possible, but the bigger baby gets the less likely it would be.

someone posted awhile back that at 37 weeks the baby flipped ...

It is possible that the baby could move back, but very unlikely. You would definitely feel it too.

I guess anything can happen, but it's pretty unlikely to happen.

My baby was head down for weeks and my OB even told me he wouldn't move at this point. ?Well, last week (36 weeks) he was completely sideways (confirmed by u/s). ?I can feel him flipping back and forth, so I am hoping he picks and position soon. ??

My OB wasn't concerned yet, but I will be interested to see what she says on Wednesday.

Babies can flip even during labor. ?Unlikely, but there is always the possibility.?

oh and I feel him when he flips, it is SO uncomfortable and my stomach gets flatter and wider until he flips back, or up, or wherever he has decided to go. ?

Mine first baby was head down down for 3 weeks before I was due, and she flipped to frank breech during labor resulting in my first c-section.
