So Ethan has been doing all sort of cool things these days... but he just would not clap! No matter how often I did he, he would grab my hands and clap with me, but never on his own....

So he finally started about 2 week ago  and now he claps all the time. ALL.THE.TIME.

He claps while he is falling asleep, while he is eating, while he is holding on to the walls (that doesnt work well!) he claps his toys together, he claps one hand onto his bottle, he claps non stop! all the while he is saying Yayyyyyyyyyy, with a delighted grin on his face. 

Too cute!

    Aw. That is cute though~ I know it must be a litttle annoying but it sounds adorable.

    G is now putting his hands together for me while I change his diaper. First time he did it, it made me laugh.

    HaHa.....very cute!!!!

    Not to worry though it will calm down DS did this for a few weeks when he learned how to clap and now he just claps when appropriate.

    That sounds adorable!!! I usually think, "Be careful what you wish for" when I am chasing Brady all over the place. I think to myself, why did I want him to walk so bad?!?!? Lol.

    DS did that for a while too when he really got into clapping.  DH and I loved the sound of his little hands clapping. Ah.  But he got over it and now only does it occassionally (not always appropriately -- he likes to clap in bed).

    Thanks for this post.  Over the past week or so I have been concerned about DS being behind in some milestones, clapping being the biggest, so this made me feel a million times better.  I try not to worry about milestones too much but the freaking books make it seem like he should have been doing that for a while now.  Glad to hear I may soon regret all of the time I've been spending trying to get him to clap!
