Everyone on here who goes in for induction, seems like they go in to get the cervadil when they are induced, but with my last one they started induction by using the foley bulb. Do they use cervadil if you are not dilated at all? I hated the foley bulb it was not comfortable.

Re: Is cervadil better than the foley bulb?
I got Cervadil with my first son. I was overdue by 6 days and I was only a fingertip dilated. It worked great for me--I had 10 hours of labor and then 1/2 hour of pushing. I didn't have to get the Pitocin.
I think it has to do with your cervix & the softening of it. I don't think I had made any progress.
I think this. They used Cervadil for my induction with DS, and I was not at all dilated or effaced (induced due to pre-e). It worked for me- vaginal birth ~21 hours later.
