Just wondering b/c my son already has a wardrobe of clothes and he's not even here yet!! People just keep on giving us hand me downs, and of course, if I find a good deal, I just can't pass it up I'm not complaining at all about this, but it's starting to get overwhelming. I keep thinking that I have to wash all of it too!! whew...that is gonna be a job! I'm starting to wish that I will have more boys after this so the clothes will get used a lot. Oh, and I haven't even had my baby shower yet! I'm gonna have to ask for toddler sizes...haha!
Re: is there such thing as too many baby clothes?
Yeah...Last night my dh went to a bachelor party and I thought, well I will just wash up some of dd clothes. The first major time consuming task is cutting off all the tags...seriously took me hours. Then I seperated the sizes and washed them in loads accordingly...then I thought wow...where do I put all this. Its not like you can just walk in the nursery and put it away...you have to figure out where all this stuff goes. What to hang and what to fold. Somehow in all this work I have already lost one sock. Way to go mom!
GOOD LUCK!
I have the same problem. We have not purchased 1 thing for DD. I have received so many clothes that I will never get through them all even if she wears each outfit only 1 time. I feel guilty but many people gave gift receipts and I returned some of the clothes for credit toward things we did not get from our registry. This experience has taught me never to buy clothes for another baby shower...I will shop strictly from the registry.
I think this happens to everyone. I know looking back at DS's clothes it makes me sad, I LOVED some of his stuff and he really didn't get to wear it too much. I am hoping one of my close friends or my sister will have a boy. It almost made me dissappointed that I am having a girl this time- since she can't use any of it.
