Babies: 9 - 12 Months

No teeth yet?

Anyone else have a LO with no teeth?  Will is 8 months old and still has no teeth, and from what I can tell, there are none on the horizon.  I check daily to the point of obsession.

Just wanted to make sure we're not the only ones!

Re: No teeth yet?

  • Parker got his first tooth at 11 1/2 months.  He now has 6.  My pedi said the later they come in, the stronger they are--so his should be like diamonds! Ha!

  • Well DD has 3 teeth and 3 coming in.  However, I have seen TONS of posts on here about babies 10 months and up that have no teeth.  I wouldn't worry.
  • None here yet either! She's had horrible teething symptoms for weeks now.
  • My ds is the toothless wonder and my boobs are so ok with it :)

Us too!  He's drooling like its going out of style and everything goes in his mouth.  Plus, whenever he's cranky - for whatever reason - everyone tells me that he's teething.  I'm like, where are the stinkin' teeth then?!?  It seems like between the ages of 4-12 months all behavior is explained away as teething.

  • Henry didn't have any teeth until about 10 months.  He got one on the top and one on the bottom at the same time.  Now he is getting another top one.  Don't worry!  Our pediatrician told us that as long as they start by 18 months it's not an issue.
  • DS got his 1st tooth at 9 months. The 2nd one came 2 weeks later. Nothing since then though. He just has the bottom 2 and that is it.
  • None yet!

  • This makes me feel better.  DD is the only baby in our moms group that is over 6 months with no teeth.  I'll just wait patiently, now.

  • DS will be 11 months old in a few days and no teeth yet! Pedi said they aren't concerned until 14 months and that the longer they take to come in, the stronger they'll be.
