Sex and IVF

Did you have sex during stimming for IVF? is it safe?

Some girls on the TTTC board said that their RE said "no" and others said it was OK...just not too close to ER. Thanks!

I had sex not that often bc my hubby sucks but I was never told not to.

Question: Why so many IUI's before IVF..Is it male factor ?

We just went straight to IVF and it worked the first time...male factor..we did ICSI too

For my protocol, no sex 3 days before ER and no sex from ER until first beta (about 2 weeks later).

However, leading up to ER, I was in no mood for sex anyhow b/c I was so bloated and in pain.

we were always told no sex once you start stimming until you see a heartbeat.

They were figuring out the best meds for me and my RE didn't think it was necessary to go straight to IVF. However by the 5th IUI, we realized that would probably be the way to go. I was hoping not to b/c we were OOP

We were told no sex from trigger to beta.  We were'nt told anything about before ER but I was so bloated and my ovaries were so huge that I didn't want to.

We did not - we actually signed a contract saying we wouldn't... the RE said it was ok with barrier contraception I believe but, the PGD lab were the ones who made us sign the contract.
