DH is supposed to build me a display unit that is required by a store contract I just got.

He WANTED to do it. Said "this is going to be super easy!"

So easy in fact, that he is building me 2 so I can have one at home.

I draft everything up in high definition detail, measurements, what to get, roughly how much.. EVERYTHING... no stone was left unturned.

So why did we just spend 45 minutes hashing it out over the "details"

DUDE, there is step by step instructions, with photos and I could freaking do it myself.

I had an itemized list of everything he needs to buy so why does he have to write it out in pen on another sheet of paper? Isn't having it typed easier to read?

WTF is the problem?

it's so he can make it so convoluted that he'll be able to claim he made the list, he came up with the design, etc etc. He can't just follow your directions (that is, if he's anything like MH)

Sometimes it surprises me that DH and also my dad (actually totally my dad) excel in their careers. I mean how can they be so clueless at home but so good at their jobs!?

I don't mean clueless in a mean way...just like inefficient etc.
