Has anyone ever painted a rocker/glider? I found a nice dutalier on Craigslist for a really good price, but it is a oak color wood. We are planning on a black crib and black furniture for our nursery. Do you think this would work or would it be a huge pain because of all the mechanisms involved? Should I just leave it wood color and have a bit of a mismatch look? Thanks!
Re: Painting a rocker/glider?
Did you just use a basic furniture paint? Primer first? Thanks!
I just refinished a glider myself, it was a cherry wood, and I wanted it white. I sanded the entire thing to ensure the primer would stik good, primed it then painted it, last I brought it outside and spray painted the parts that I had a hard time getting too. Behind the spindles and all.
It turned out great, and I am very happy with it. It did take some time though.
