TTC and still breastfeeding

I am still breastfeeding DD and have yet to get a period. She is 10 months.  DH and I want to start trying for our second, but I have no clue when I am ovulating or if I will be able to conceive because of the breastfeeding.  Anyone in the same boat?

Yep.  We're waiting another 2 months to start TTC, but I plan to still be EBF then, too.  I have not had a period yet, either.  I'm pretty sure that I'll have to wean before I'll be able to get pregnant.

Yes! I figured I may not get pregnant until DS weans but we can still try I thought about getting the fertility prediction tests or whatever they are called but decided it's not worth it so we'll TTC and not expect anything to happen for a few months.

I have no clue about this because I have never BF, however my advice just keep trying and have fun doing it.  Also maybe talk to your OB and see if she/he has any advice.

I'm not TTC and DS just weaned a few weeks ago, but I didn't get my period until DS was 15 months.  Two of my friends didn't get theirs until their DC were 13 months.  If you're still BFing, it could take awhile and you won't really know when you're ovulating until you start your period.  Even then, it could take awhile for it to regulate.  My 2nd pp period was 6 weeks after my 1st.
