So excited to go back to school I can hardly stand it!

During our extremely long 2 day drive home DH and I started talking about our plans for the future, specifically, what I want to do. I knew that I had a vague desire to go back to school, but I was thinking I would probably just wait until both of the kids were in school so we wouldn't have to do daycare. I figured DH probably wouldn't want to spend the money/take out loans for awhile anyway.

Well DH surprised me and said he was thinking that I should start sooner rather than later! His idea was that I start slow, take a few years to finish, then I can get a few years of experience in before we want to have more children. We talked a lot about exactly what I want to do, which is get a Masters in Library Science/Information Studies, and how it would work. I have spent the past two days really looking at the program I would apply to and it would totally, totally work. I am pretty sure that I could get in, they have night classes and summer classes and DH is already saying he could work from home some days if it was necessary for me to be at class, plus the more I read about the field the more interesting and perfect for me it sounds!

We're thinking that I should apply to start NEXT fall! I can hardly wait! I wish I was starting next month! Big Smile

    Good for you!

    I am so jealous. I'm in some sort of mid life crisis where I need to back to uni. I've been looking at courses too but I have to wait for DH to finish his school first.

    I'm lucky that we have a really good program right where we live now. It would be so frustrating if I couldn't do what I wanted because of location!

    Yay for you!  I hope to get my Master's in Lib Science, too...but it will not be anytime soon.
