Any advice for a new mom of 2 under 2?

Wow... what a week this has been! DS #1 turned 2 the day after DS #2 was born. It has been a very insane week. DS #1 is doing really well, but having MANY more tantrums and screams every time DS #2 cries. Anyway... I'm wondering what advice all of you have, in general.

The main word of advice I can offer is let DS#1 have as much attention as you can give him.  This may mean that DS#2 has to fuss a little while you are dealing with #1.  Also just remember that it WILL get easier.  These first few months will be tough but it will get better.  Hang in there and sleep when you can!!

Ditto!

Just take it day by day (some days I took it "hour by hour") and it will help.

One thing that I've found really helped manage any jealousy, when #2 is napping that time is totally devoted to #1.  No chores, just spending time with #1 and it's made a huge difference.

after about a week my #1 stopped crying when #2 cried...sot hat does get better!  ditto what everyone else said.  things are MUCH better around here in the last week...so it took about 8 weeks.  My friend who had 2 under 2 said it took her son about 8 weeks as well.  GL - it can be hard!
