My LO is wavering with dropping her third nap, which has gotten really short and also seems to keep her up at night. It's throwing off our feeding schedule a little bit.
We were doing a bottle after each wake-up, for a total of 28 ounces (7 in each bottle). Additionally, we did cereal (1 tbsp) and avocado (2 ice cubes) in the morning an hour after the first bottle, and cereal (1-2 tbsps) and a veggie (2 cubes) at night.
Now that we're down to 3 awake times per day, I'm a little lost and looking for some ideas. What did/does your schedule look like for your six-month-old? Thanks!
Re: General Napping/Eating Schedule for your Current (or former) 6-month-old
It's still different everyday - sorry I'm no help ;-)
Some days he does only have two naps. Others he has three. Right now he's working on a 3 hour nap and had a quicky one earlier this morning so I imagine he will take a short 3rd nap late afternoon/early evening.
I still nurse on demand and right now he is only offered solids at dinner (although we did breakfast for the first time today). He self feeds though so he doesn't eat set amounts or consistent amounts.

Our schedule sounds a lot like yours. DD is also dropping that third nap most days, but she has also started shortening the other two naps to 30 minutes. I really hope the short naps are just a phase, because we are having to do bedtime at 6:30 since she is sleeping so little during the day.
On a side note, when did you start solids? We have only been doing them a little over a week...and there is no way DD would eat 2 cubes worth of fruit or veggie.
Wow! A 3 hour nap hasn't happened in our house since DD was a newborn. Has he always taken a long nap?
I can't remember the last time DD took 3 naps!! Her schedule has been pretty?consistent with only 2 naps:
If she wakes before 7am, I give her a bottle and put her right back in her crib where she'll sleep another 2-3 hours. Lately she's been skipping this feeding and sleeping until about 8:00 am. I don't give her the skipped bottle, I give her breakfast (yogurt with fruit and cereal mixed in.) About 2 hours later (10:00 ish) I give her a bottle and she takes a 2-3 hour nap. She has lunch (fruit and veggie). 2-3 hours later (around 4:00) she's ready for another bottle and her afternoon nap which lasts about 1-2 hours. She has dinner (meat and veggie) at around 6:30. At around 7:30 we do her bedtime routine: bath, bottle, bed. ??

Nope - he does once in a while. Nap lengths are very variable around here - sometimes only 30 minutes; sometimes half the morning!

We started avocado about a month ago, then started other veggies about 2 weeks after that. She's OBSESSED with avocado and eats all of it. In the evening, she doesn't necessarily go through 2 cubes. It's pretty variable.
Ok, that makes me feel better. DD is not even eating one cube right now...she is not impressed with solids at all! I keep hearing that one month is about what it takes for them to get used to it.
I just noticed that our DDs are the exact same age. How fun!
I noticed that too! Where were you when I was two weeks overdue and MISERABLE?
Two weeks? I was one week overdue and was going stir crazy. Two weeks would have done me in!
Kind of late, but DS's sched has been almost the same for the last 4-6 weeks- with the exception of the amount of solids going up!!!! He's been dropping his 30 min late PM catnap some days, other days he needs it...
