I didn't want to respond below-I was afraid you wouldn't see it! 

DS is only 13 lbs, 12 oz at 6 mos, so maybe that's why I"m finding them bulky.  I think I'll keep them from the trial though because I'm sure he'll grow into them.

It is super easy.  The pf does get soaked, but never leaks through the thirsties cover.  Plus, I've read that the more you wash the prefolds, the more absorbant they become.

I'm so glad I did the trial!  I never thought I'd like the prefolds at all and now I think that's what I'll start with until I find just the right pocket/AIO to invest in.  I go back to work 8/27 and our sitter said that she's perfectly happy to use cloth, but I think I'll get AIOs for there just to make it easier on her.

Thanks!  I'll try that with the PF next.  I'm liking the Fuzzi Bunz so far - I think I like the snaps better than velcro.  I also ordered a Blueberry one size pocket and FB one size to try.  I have a feeling I'll end up spending a ton on diapers   Good luck and enjoy the rest of the trial!

Oh, I totally know what you mean about spending $$!  I am obsessed already.  :-)  I just ordered an AIO from a gal off of etsy-threemonkeysdiapers I think.  She was VERY will priced-only $13 and some cute prints.  I got the buggy one.
