My 19 year old cousin and his thoughts on NIP

My cousin was telling me earlier that some lady was at his hair salon and ::GASP:: nursed her baby there!! He didn't understand why she didn't "schedule the appt." around her kids feedings. HA! I know he's young, so I politely explained to him that you can't always do that and you have to feed your baby when they're hungry. He still didn't budge. So, I told him that when he has a wife, if she BF's her child, she'll probably have to do it in public sometime. He said, and I'll tell her, "No, those are my boobies!" Hahahaaha.

My 17 year old SIL had a similar reaction to seeing a woman BFing in an airport. Oh well, they'll learn someday.....hopefully.....right?

ahhhhhhhh!!!! I will never allow this to happen to SIL. From here on out I'm making it my mission in life for her to accept NIP as a natural, beautiful thing, lol. I'll make sure to give status reports to you all as things progress

I'm sure my DH would have said the same things before he has a BF'ing wife.  They just don't understand!

Seriously this is why they should give kids those fake baby dolls that are supposed to prevent teen pregnancy. Maybe if he had one of those and tried to schedule his entire life around being home when it cried (unpredictably), then he would understand.

My stepson (13) was totally eeked out by the thought of breastfeeding before DD was born. Now he's all like "Boobs are for babies" to his friends. I've NIP at his sporting events and it was nothing. He even explained to his friends that BFing is so awesome because babies get a snack bar wherever they go and its like Powerade for babies. The more people are exposed to it, the more they understand.
