what to wear for a wedding

We have a wedding to go to in a couple of weeks.  I have a darker red maxi dress that I thought I'd might wear.  Do you think this is appropriate?  I'm fine w/ strapless hanging out on the lake, but am so darn conservative out in the "real" world.  Pros: simple, comfy, looks good.  Cons: my boobs are massive, jersey material, bare shoulders

Any thoughts? It's my husband's friend's wedding so I can't really call up the bride (a friend) for advice.

I love maxi dresses. I think pregnant women look beautiful in them. Sounds soo pretty. I say go for it!! You could always take a little shrug or sweater : ) Have fun!

I'd just take a little sweater and throw it on if I felt uncomfortable.

The pp's said what I was thinking: Great dress, just add a little shrug (the place might be chilly anyway) and go for it.

I'm wearing a maxi dress to a wedding this afternoon, also strapless!  I chose a really long necklace in a contrasting color to give a more "vertical" line and draw attention away from my tremendously huge boobs.  And another pro: If it's long enough, you can get away with cute flipflops instead of high heels!
