Babies: 0 - 3 Months

From 3rd tri - postpartum belt question

Could you please recommend a postpartum support belt? I'd like to try and use one after birth, but it seems that a lot of people comment on how they are uncomfortable, show under clothing, roll over when you sit or move around, etc.

Also, did you find that it really made a difference in recovery & how soon your tummy went down?

  • I never used one.  I always heard they were a waste of money.

"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind." - Kurt Vonnegut
  • I had a c-section with my second DS. When I was moved to my room the nurses put a belt on me at that time. This was my second c-section. I would say it made a big difference. At my two week check up I was already -15 pounds pp.
  • I love my Belly Bandit.  I had a c/s and wore a binder for a week and then I wore the Bandit for 2 weeks.  I still put it on when I need some extra support.  The weight loss in my ticker has been the same for 2 weeks.

  • I can't imagine needing one unless you're having a C-section.
