talk to me about webcams

We want to get one so we can live chat with people at home, but have no clue which one to buy.  I thought they were cheaper than I've found and there's so many options.  I go to the store and end up just staring blankly at all of the options. 

Anyone have a good (inexpensive) one or know what brands or options to look for?  (I haven't really done any research yet, I was hoping someone on here could recommend theirs)

I think ours is a mircosoft.  It was $50 at Best Buy.  Not the best camera, but it good enough for what we use it for-talking to family.

We have a Logitech one that works very well. I think it cost somewhere around $70.

We bought one for my inlaws at Best Buy.  The employee there said it didn't really matter too much which one & a pretty cheap one works well for just chatting with family.  I'd ask someone there.  We web-cam alot with family.

I have the same brand.  We've been using it for a year now, almost everyday and have no problems.

Ours is a logitech as well.  It was between $50-$70.  Such a great investment to Skype with people~!
