I will say that I agree. ?And I do like Amish country in PA (Lancaster). ?They have good food. ?And I like to look at their colorful clothing hanging on the lines outside. ?I'm a dork.
I lived near Columbus for a few years and we made the mandatory trek to Amish country as well. Don't think we bought any furniture but pretty sure we bought 54 apple pies though. Yumm.

On 2 different cross country trips we stopped at the Yoder Farm, 1st time - sight seeing, 2nd time - couldn't pass up the baked goods!
Re: Adamwife, at the end of the day, this is why you crack me up.
You just can't beat the Amish craftsmanship and the purpose was to purchase a crib. lol

We wanted an heirloom. And the crib was worth it!

I live among the Amish and Mennonites in Upstate NY.
I love going to Byrne Dairy (the gas station) and seeing an Amish kid in front of me buing Monster and Red Bull.
It also cracks me up that there is Buggy Parking at the McDonalds up the road.
I love to hear the clip-clop of the horses on Saturday mornings though.
We were in Ohio Amish Country - Holmes County.
